Calling all Male Runners! This year's Watsons Pink Ribbon Walk/Run 2010 5km Competitive Run is open to male runners.
A new male category has been added to the Watsons Pink Ribbon Walk/Run 2010 due to the numerous requests received last year from spouses of breast cancer patients and survivors, male friends and supporters of BCF.
They too wanted to participate in our advocacy movement and help to raise funds so that BCF can continue to carry out our year-round of public outreach activities and support programmes for breast cancer patients and survivors.
Breast cancer is not just a woman’s disease. The impact on the family, close friends and the society cannot be ignored. By opening the event to all genders, young and old, BCF hopes to use the Pink Ribbon Walk/Run 2010 as the platform to mobilise the community to do their bit in creating awareness of breast cancer and early detection.
